VA rate calculator.

Most VAs underprice because they've never done the math. Plug in your numbers below to see what you need to charge to hit your income goal once unbillable hours, expenses, fees and tax are counted.

What you want to bring home each month, after expenses.

Be realistic. Most full-time VAs bill 25–35 hrs (not 40, because meetings, breaks and admin eat the rest).

Quick reality check on rates

Beginner range (0–6 months): $5–$10/hr is realistic on Upwork to build your first reviews. On OnlineJobs.ph, expect PHP 25,000–40,000/month for full-time work.

1–2 years experience: $10–$20/hr is fair. You should have 3–5 client reviews and a clear niche by now.

2+ years specialized: $20–$40/hr is achievable for niche work (technical VAs, marketing strategists, executive assistants for founders). At that level clients pay you to solve problems, not to follow a task list.

If your calculator says you need $60/hr to hit your goal but you have 0 reviews, that's a sign to either lower your goal, increase your hours, or be patient and build your way up.
