The client brief

Greenline Bookkeeping does the books for independent restaurants. The owner, Raf, wants five discovery calls a week with restaurant owners. He sent you his offer in chat. Your job is every message from first email to booked call. Made-up client, fake data.

Do the task

1

Say the offer in one line

Who it's for, what problem, what result. If you can't say it in one sentence, the email will ramble.

2

Write the first email

Under 90 words. One detail that shows you know restaurants, one clear question, no attachments, no "I hope this email finds you well".

3

Write three follow-ups

Day 3, day 7, day 14. Each one adds something new. The last one closes the loop politely.

4

Write the reply scripts

Interested, not now, how much, wrong person. Every reply ends with one next step.

5

Set up the booking page

Free Calendly: 20-minute call, Tuesday to Thursday, 2 to 5pm Eastern, buffer time, three short intake questions.

6

Build the tracker

One row per lead and a status dropdown. Clients pay for this part.

More tips
  • Read your first email on your phone. If you have to scroll, cut it.
  • Never fake "Re:" in a subject line. People hate it.
  • Raf said no pushy stuff. Write like a neighbour, not a salesperson.
  • Use made-up leads in your portfolio. Never post real people's details.
