The client brief

Elena runs a small skincare brand in Los Angeles. She's speaking at a trade show in Singapore and sent you one rushed email at midnight. You don't book anything. You research and send her options to approve. Made-up client, fake data.

Do the task

1

Pull out the rules

List every requirement in the email: talk time, window seat, no red-eyes, near the venue, gym, dinner, home by the 16th.

2

Work out the time zones

Los Angeles to Singapore is a long flight and a big time jump. Count when she lands and how much rest she gets before her talk.

3

Compare three flights

Use Google Flights. Note price, stops, total time and arrival time. Mark any option that breaks one of her rules.

4

Compare three hotels

Close to the venue, gym, good reviews. Add the walking time from Google Maps.

5

Build the itinerary

Day by day: flights, check-in, talk, dinner, flight home. Leave rest time after landing.

6

Recommend and ask

Pick one combo and say why in two lines. Then list what she needs to confirm, like passport expiry and loyalty numbers.

More tips
  • Prices change daily. Write "checked on" with the date next to every price.
  • Don't give visa or entry advice. Link the official government page and ask her to confirm.
  • Make the itinerary easy to read on a phone. That's where she'll open it.
  • Bonus: suggest two dinner spots near her hotel with a reason for each.
