The client brief

Rooted Pet Co. sells natural dog treats. They want a blog post for new puppy owners, plus captions to promote it. Their voice is warm, a bit funny and never preachy. Made-up client, fake data.

Do the task

1

See what people ask

Search "healthy puppy treats". Note the "People also ask" questions and the top three results. Your outline must answer the same questions, better.

2

Write the outline

H2s for the big questions, H3s for details. One line under each saying what goes there.

3

Write the intro

Start with the reader's problem, not the brand. Promise what they'll know by the end.

4

Write the captions

One idea each, written for that platform. Each one gives a reason to click.

5

Write the meta copy

Title under 60 characters with the target phrase. Description under 155.

6

Edit hard

Cut every sentence that doesn't help the reader. Check the brief's don'ts one more time.

More tips
  • If you use AI for a first draft, rewrite it in your own words. Clients can tell.
  • No health claims. "Ask your vet" is your friend.
  • Mock the captions up in Canva so they look like real posts.
  • Want a bigger sample? Write the full post later.
