The client brief

Tidewater Goods sells insulated water bottles. Their best product has a lazy listing and sales have dropped. Three order emails are also waiting. Rewrite the listing and answer the emails. Made-up client, fake data.

Do the task

1

Read the facts

Only use what's in the product sheet. Never add claims like "lifetime warranty" that the client didn't give you.

2

Write the title

Brand, product, size, main feature. Something like "Tidewater 32 oz Insulated Water Bottle, Leakproof Lid".

3

Write the bullets

Benefit first, then the fact. "Cold all day: keeps drinks cold for 24 hours."

4

Do the SEO bits

SEO title under 60 characters, meta description under 155, alt text that says what's in each photo.

5

Answer the emails

Tracking issue: check, give a date, offer a next step. Leak: say sorry once, ask for a photo, follow the refund policy. Colour swap: confirm fast, before it ships.

6

Optional: build it

Add the product to a free Shopify trial store so your after screenshot looks real.

  • Your SEO fields and alt text
  • The three email replies
More tips
  • Answer the questions buyers always ask (size, cleaning, cup holder fit) right in the description.
  • Never promise a refund the owner hasn't approved. "I've passed this to our team" is fine.
  • Add the missing colour variants. The owner forgot they were in stock.
  • Make a simple product photo in Canva for a bonus screenshot.
